NEW - 2013 Bugatti Veyron

It is somewhat surprising that information has unveiled the UK magazine AutoExpress on the cover of its latest issue.
In fact, according to some sources, it seems that Bugatti is developing a new version of the Veyron. Here is the French translation of the article in AutoExpress:

"One of the most stunning supercars in the world is about to go even faster! Auto Express has learned that the green light was given to the development of a new Bugatti Veyron faster and lighter. Although the VW group has lost money on each copy of the 300 cut, 150 Grand Sport 30 Super Sport and constructed over the past five years, the status of the Veyron as exceptional car is worth all the gold in the world. And our sources have revealed that the German company decided to build a new version. To confirm this, the chairman of VW, Martin Winterkorn, recently said "After 300 Bugatti, I think we would be unwise if we allow the brand is once again put to sleep"

The Virage, Aston Martin's Brand New Supercar

Aston Martin have just released the first details on the Virage and the Virage Volante. This may look like a facelifted DB9, but it’s actually a brand new model.

The Virage will apparently fill the gap between the DB9 and the DBS. It will be more performance orientated than the DB9, and more luxurious than the DBS.

It’s powered by a 6.0 V12 engine, producing 490 bhp. No word yet on 0-60 times or other performance stats.

Every Virage will come with Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes as standard, which is an option that usually costs a few thousand pounds on rivals. These brakes will offer better stopping power and will be more fade resistant than conventional brakes.

Other options that will come as standard include heated seats, Bi-Xenon lights, sat-nav and a 700W Dolby Pro Logic sound system.

Aston Martin are keen to focus on just how much hand-craftsmanship goes into their cars. For the Virage, 200 man hours are spent on hand crafting it, 70 of those on the interior alone.

Verdict

We will be very interested to see what the reviews for this car are like. The DB9 was always criticised slightly for being too soft, hopefully the Virage will solve those issues.

The biggest downside with this car is that it looks so similar to the DB9. That’s no insult by any means, the DB9 is a stunning car, but we’d bet the average man on the street would struggle to tell the difference.

We can’t help think the DB9 won’t be around for much longer. Prices for the Virage haven’t yet been announced, but it’s obvious it will sit between the DB9 which costs £125,000 and the DBS which costs £175,000. It’s hard to see many customers choosing a DB9 over this fresh-faced, more modern, Virage.
KIS Cars Verdict
Why? We struggle to see the Market Gap here too? Surely the only reason could be that AML are going to drop the DB9 shortly after...

Rolls-Royce 102EX Phantom Experimental Electric to debut in Geneva

Rolls-Royce 102EX Phantom Experimental Electric to debut in Geneva

Rolls-Royce 102EX Phantom Experimental Electric

Of all the automakers in the industry, Rolls-Royce doesn't exactly have the "greenest" image. Its vehicles are heavy and ponderous, equipped with enormous engines and swathed with more dead cows than a beef processing plant. But its parent company BMW has been pushing into the green space with its EfficientDynamics initiative, and it's looking to bring the Goodwood division along for the electrified ride... one way or another.

Call this another, then: the Rolls-Royce 102EX. It's an electric version of the Phantom Rolls has been testing for the better part of a year, and now it's set tomake its debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Few details were confirmed in Rolls' announcement, but after taking its curtain call in Geneva, the Phantom Experimental Electric will go on a world tour to gauge how the public feels about the possibility of a battery-powered Roller. Follow the jump for the official release and keep an eye on electricluxury.com, which is set to launch this week as the program's online base.

Lamborghini Gallardo Singapore Limited Edition lands in the Far East

Lamborghini Gallardo Singapore Limited Edition lands in the Far East

Lamborghini Gallardo Singapore edition
Markets in the Far East are increasingly vital for high-end automakers like Lamborghini. The Italian purveyor of exotic supercars has been in the Singapore market, specifically, for ten years. Now, to celebrate the milestone, Lamborghini has produced a very limited run of special-edition Gallardos exclusive to Singapore.

The Singapore-themed Gallardo was created in partnership between the factory and its Singapore importer. Available in white or black, the Singapore Limited Edition wears a set of red side stripes accented by a badge featuring the Merlion – the lion-headed fish mascot created by the Singapore Tourism Board in the 1964.

Only ten examples of the car were produced, and all have apparently been spoken for. Delivery of the entire run recently took place at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Singapore. S$20,000 (about $15k in equivalent American funds) of the proceeds from each Singapore Limited Edition Gallardo sold went to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund to benefit underprivileged students.

NEW Audi R18

2011 Audi R18

Audi promises to continue its excellent performance in the sports car development and marketing field with the plans for the new 2011 Audi R18. It will feature the same 3.7 liter V6 TDI unit, a smaller but very innovative engine that is the core of the Audi R18’s powerful yet economical performance, an improved six-speed transmission that is modified for use with smaller engines and a single-component design of the carbon mono-coque to save space and lessen weight.

The overall aerodynamic design of the model will also be modified based on its predecessors for better weight distribution. Crucial issues from previous models will also be addressed by the new design, including subpar tire quality and improved customer service. The 2011 Audi R18 aims to continue the company’s victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours event and marketing success for 2011.
And with the many planned modifications, better development of vehicle and technical support and customer sport promotions, the Audi R18 guarantees its continued success as one of the best sports car manufacturers

NEW! G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane RR

2011 G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane RR

The world’s fastest 4 seat coupe, the G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane RR, a car capable of reaching a top speed of nearly 370km/h (229mph). It has twin superchargers called the ASA T1-316 radial supercharger reaching 800hp, a development of the previous SK III RS bi-supercharger system that has 750hp. But the performance of the G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane RR doesn’t stop from top speed alone.

It has incredible acceleration, in less than 4 seconds it can reach a speed of up to 100km/h. Aerodynamics play an important role as well; this car has been equipped with a carbon fiber front skirt and spoiler in the rear to generate greater aerodynamic down force at high speeds. In addition to its high-speed capability is its G-POWER RS coil over sports suspension together with its high-end braking system called the G-POWER high performance braking system.

Because of its incredible top speed and superior acceleration this car is nearly as fast as a hurricane, a very fast car indeed.

The Most Expensive Cars in the World!

The Most Expensive Cars in the World!

What is the most expensive car in the world? The 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was sold for $8.7m/£5.3m in 1987. However, that car and many alike will not be included in this list because it is not available on the market today. It is hard to imagine someone would actually spend 8 million dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these supercars in your garage. Here are the 10 most expensive production cars on the market. Although the Aston Martin One-77 is about to jump on the list!

1. Bugatti Veyron $1.7m/£1.05m. This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a top speed of 253 mph+. However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero which exceed 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

2. Lamborghini Reventon $1.6n/£0.98m The most powerful and the most expensive Lamborghini ever built is the second on the list. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and it has a top speed of 211 mph. Its rarity (limited to 20) and slick design are the reasons why it is so expensive and costly to own.

3. McLaren F1 $970k/£597k In 1994, the McLaren F1 was the fastest and most expensive car. Even though it was built 15 years ago, it has an unbelievable  top speed of 240 mph and reaching 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Even as of today, the McLaren F1 is still top on the list and it outperformed many other supercars.

4. Ferrari Enzo $670k/£412k The best known supercar ever built. The Enzo has a top speed of 217 mph and reaching 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Only 400 units were produced and it is currently being sold for over $1,000,000 at auctions.

5. Pagani Zonda C12 F $667k/£410k. Produced by a small independent company in Italy, the Pagani Zonda C12 F is the 5th fastest car in the world. It promises to delivery a top speed of 215 mph+ and it can reach 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.
Pagani Zonda C12 F: 2nd Most Expensive Car in the World

6. SSC Ultimate Aero $654k/£402k. Don't let the price tag fool you, the 6th most expensive car is actually the fastest street legal car in the world with a top speed of 257 mph+ and reaching 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. This baby cost nearly half as much as the Bugatti Veyron, yet has enough power to top the most expensive car in a speed race. It is estimated that only 25 of this exact model will ever be produced.
SSC Ultimate Aero 3rd most expensive car in the world

7. Saleen S7 Twin Turbo $555k/£342k The first true American production certified supercar, this cowboy is also rank 3rd for the fastest car in the world. It has a top speed of 248 mph+ and it can reach 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. If you are a true American patriot, you can be proud to show off this car.
